Find Your Tall Fit
Measure your inside leg and explore an approximate length recommendation for tall silhouettes.
Every Body is Different
Height is only part of the story. Two women standing at 5′10″ can have completely different proportions: one may have a longer torso and shorter legs, while another has a shorter torso and longer legs. Your measured inside leg is a better starting point than height alone.
Use this guide as a starting point, not a guarantee of fit. Check each garment’s measurements and consider how you like your trousers to sit.
How to Measure Your Inside Leg
The Trousers Method
Lay a pair of well-fitting trousers flat. Measure along the inside leg seam from the crotch seam to the bottom hem. This gives you the garment’s inseam, including any allowance already in that pair.
The Body Method
Stand barefoot with your feet flat. Hold a book snugly between your legs at the crotch and measure from its top edge down to the floor. Ask someone to help for a steadier measurement.
The calculator below uses a barefoot body measurement. If you use a trouser measurement, avoid adding a footwear allowance already included in that garment.
Inside Leg Calculator
Your approximate inside leg length
This is your entered measurement plus the selected footwear allowance, rounded to the nearest half inch. Compare it with the garment’s actual inseam and your preferred hem position.
Rise cannot be determined reliably from inside leg alone. Check the garment’s rise and waist-to-crotch measurements separately.
