Meet Emily, our founder
Standing proudly at 5'11", I founded Hautier out of my own frustration with finding stylish, well-fitting clothing for tall women in the UK. Driven by my passion for branding and timeless style, my aim is to create a single platform that brings together tall collections to celebrate every height and body shape. Ultimately, my goal is to slow down fast-fashion and create a more thoughtful, inclusive space where tall women never feel overlooked.
A little more about us
It’s a fun play on words! ‘Hauteur’ is French for height, but I also love seeing it as representing a higher tier of fashion for tall women (pronounced Hor-te-yay).
Frustration! I was so tired of endlessly scrolling, trying to guess whether to search ‘long,’ ‘tall,’ ‘full-length,’ or ‘floor-length,’ or hoping it was hidden under a filter. Walking into shops and seeing wonderful, dedicated sections for petite women was great - but it always left me wondering, where is the love for us? I built Hautier to be the solution I always wished existed.
Just taking the leap and starting. Getting Hautier off the ground, building this community, and curating incredible fashion for tall women has been a dream. Even better? Every single brand we partner with is female-owned - which makes every purchase on the site even more empowering.

We might not carry every single size or inseam today, but that is exactly what we’re working toward every day - taking the guesswork out of tall fashion as we grow together.
